Globally, the European Region has the highest level of alcohol consumption per capita and the highest proportion of drinkers. Over the past years, local alcohol and drug prevention have developed substantially in Sweden. In most Nordic countries drinking is now less common among underage young people compared to the situation some 10 or 15 years ago. Can we say that drinking patterns have changed and are we on the way to solving this problem now?
