The NDPHS Internship Program offers you an opportunity to round out your academic career with a hands-on experience in an international environment. By bringing fresh ideas, research insights, and new perspectives into our work, you will improve your skills while working in a professional environment. In addition, it is a way to enhance your CV with practical work experience. Through this program, you’ll contribute to meaningful projects, and add valuable international experience to your CV.
Start Date: February 2025 (flexible)
Duration: 6 months, with potential renewal up to 12 months
Commitment: Full-time (40 hours/week)
Conditions: A granted monthly scholarship
WHO CAN APPLY?
To qualify for the internship, applicants should be university graduates. While having finished university studies is viewed as advantageous, we also consider applications from students who have completed three years of full-time academic studies before commencing the internship.
While a Health and Social well-being background is highly desirable, we also encourage applications from candidates across diverse academic disciplines who exhibit a strong interest in social science, sustainable development, political science, and international policymaking.

ELIGIBILITY
This internship is open to citizens of Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Poland, Sweden, and Ukraine. Applications from citizens of other countries may be considered on an exceptional basis.

LANGUAGES
The successful candidate is expected to be highly proficient in spoken and written English which is the working language of the NDPHS.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
The internship will take place at the NDPHS Secretariat’s office in Stockholm, Sweden.
The NDPHS Internship programme grants a monthly scholarship of 10,000 SEK per calendar month for the full-time internship and pays a travel allowance to compensate for the expenses incurred at the beginning and at the end of the traineeship from the place of residence.
FORMALITIES
You are responsible for your housing arrangements and formalities with the Swedish authorities. You are required to present valid health insurance coverage during your stay in Sweden.

Only short-listed candidates will be contacted.
A reserve list of candidates may be drawn up by the NDPHS Secretariat following the interviews and used should additional internship opportunities arise. The reserve list will be valid for 12 months after the closure of the selection procedure.

The successful candidate will be selected based on motivation, education, experience, and best organizational fit in the Secretariat’s team.
