The topic of active and healthy ageing is more important today than ever before. Approximately a fifth of our populations is aged 65 and above. Maximising the healthy years for all into old age is a corner stone into prosperous and flourishing societies.
The aim of the AgeFLAG project is to contribute to the health and wellbeing of older adults and to make our societies inclusive. Through national and regional needs assessments of priorities for action and co-creation, we designed future NDPHS actions that meet the needs of the region. The roadmap produced through this process presents the first steps towards establishing the NDPHS as a thought leader on healthy ageing.
These activities initiate and contribute to the flagship process on active and healthy ageing of Policy Area Health within the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region.
