Our Story
In the Northern Dimension Partnership in Public Health and Social Well-being (NDPHS), we connect minds for healthy lives. The Partnership consists of countries from the Nordic-Baltic Region as well as several International Organisations.
Our vision is to lead the way to sustainable and inclusive societies with equal opportunities for good health and wellbeing for all throughout the life course.
Our mission is to provide an inclusive cross-sectoral platform for health advocacy.
We bring together like-minded public health enthusiasts to share knowledge, learn from each other and care for people through health advocacy. In other words, we strengthen professional connections, share and co-create knowledge, and develop joint activities related to people’s health and well-being.
Since March 8, 2022, the EU, Iceland, and Norway suspended all Northern Dimension policy activities that involved Russia and Belarus. On 16 September 2025, the Joint Statement by the European Union, Iceland, and Norway on the closure of the Northern Dimension statement was issued. This statement has had no effective impact on NDPHS activities, which remain unaltered. We remain committed to continuing cooperation on issues of common interest in the Nordic-Baltic Region.
