Healthcare systems across the Baltic Sea Region are facing increasing pressure to retain experienced staff while responding to demographic change. Creating age-friendly workplaces is becoming essential to ensure both workforce sustainability and quality of care.

This online workshop on April 28 from 13:00 – 14:30 CET, will bring together perspectives from regional authorities, healthcare organisations and it will combine:

  • Short inputs from speakers
  • Interactive discussion
  • Exchange of experiences across countries and sectors

The session is developed in collaboration with the “SAFE – Solutions for Age-Friendly Employers” project to promote sustainable, age-friendly work environments. SAFE receives financial support from the Interreg Central Baltic Programme 2021–2027 and is co-funded by the European Union. The workshop is co-organised by Coordinators of Policy Area Health and Policy Area Education in the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region, supporting the goals of the “Economy of Wellbeing of People” platform.
