The Helsinki workshop is part of the EPIC (Effectively Prepared in Crisis) project, which aims to strengthen transnational cooperation on organisational preparedness, resilience and work ability in crisis situations across the Baltic Sea Region.

Building on the needs assessment workshop held in Tallinn and subsequent discussions within the NDPHS Occupational Safety and Health Expert Group (OSH EG), the workshop will move from identifying broad challenges towards developing a more concrete transnational project concept. Particular attention will be given to two closely related areas: workforce capacity and availability during disruptive situations, and coordination and cooperation between organisations, support systems and sectors.

Through expert input and facilitated discussions, participants will explore the role of OSH systems in preparedness and resilience, identify potential research questions and consider where transnational cooperation can provide added value.

The workshop will aim to establish a shared foundation for further project development, including possible objectives, research questions and next steps for continued collaboration.
